We are looking for a Delivery Manager (ADT Operations Manager) who is excited about building an amazing team of people who will have a huge impact on our customer experience. You will lead a team of supervisors that are in charge of the day to day operations of our residential delivery program for one of our larger facility centers, that service deliveries to (location) area, as well as (cross shipments to other smaller locations).

With an entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to pivot and juggle multiple priorities, you will be consistently leading the day to day operations of the delivery station to ensure we create “Remarkable Delivery Experiences” for our customers. Additionally you will create a strong safety culture while promoting our Article Core Values. 

What You'll Do
  • Manage 3-8 Supervisors (exempt) as direct reports with an overall team of approximately 50+ Delivery Driver Associates
  • Manage the delivery team operations, with an ownership mindset
  • Embody the Article culture and inspire the team to lead through our guiding principles of customer obsession, do it differently, ownership mindset, and do it differently
  • Mentor, coach and develop your team of Supervisors, creating development plans, writing reviews and developing succession planning to be reviewed with the Final Mile Ops Manager
  • Active participation on projects and initiatives affecting your warehouse.  This may include being part of Delivery project teams throughout the year 
  • Champion the 5s initiatives, holding Supervisor(s) accountable for department results and working with other Operation  and Fulfillment Center Managers on building- wide opportunities and accountability
  • Plan for Peak season readiness, including workload projections, staffing needs, etc
  • Partner with the Regional People & Culture Ops Manager to ensure team members are engaged and that the employee experience is remarkable
  • Ensure labor is being used effectively and processes are being followed
  • Meet budget parameters and identifying opportunities for savings
  • Follow DOT Federal safety regulations and building a culture of safety
  • Investigate, report, and act on safety or customer service issues occurring in your region
  • Oversee local procurement and interact with vendors including those providing trucks, repair, fuel, insurance, uniforms, telecommunications, and more.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • 5+ years of experience in any area related to final mile, middle middle delivery services (moving, or residential delivery preferred) 
  • Managing 10+ trucks - following DOT regulations
  • 7+ years Ops Manager experience of a final mile delivery team of 15-20 drivers
  • Ability to lead and maintain a safe work environment
  • Route dispatch experience within the respective region
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in English (written or verbal)
  • Proficient with Google Suite (or Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Labor Management System experience preferred
  • Ability to be highly organized and process-oriented, allowing you to complete multiple tasks consistently and on time
  • Demonstrated experience promoting an environment of continuous improvement and rapid change
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills - you know how to partner with other departments as well as manage your own team effectively
  • Flexibility with working hours
  • Valid state Driver's License
  • Legally able to work in the United States

Nice to Have:
  • Direct-to-consumer shipping managing 10+ trucks and final mile delivery teams
  • Front-line experience delivering furniture to residences or in the moving business
  • Ability to speak Spanish
