We are seeking a full-time Compliance Associate to assist with various compliance matters related to real estate private equity funds, separate accounts and registered investment advisers (RIA).


The successful candidate will be self-motivated and energized by working alongside a group of thoughtful, intelligent, and driven colleagues in a firm focused on excellence, and a naturally collaborative person who enjoys interacting with individuals at all levels. Additionally, the individual should be a strong team player with a proactive approach and able to exercise discretion and independent judgment.


Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day implementation of the compliance program

Assist with monitoring progress of annual compliance testing, including working with outside compliance consultants

Review and comment on marketing presentations, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), and investor requests to ensure compliance with SEC rules

Make periodic updates to the firms compliance manual and code of ethics as needed

Provide regular reports to the Chief Compliance Officer

Track SEC filing dates to ensure accurate and timely reporting

Collaborate with other teams to ensure consistency and application of compliance policies

Maintain the code of ethics electronic system for employee trading activity, tracking gift and entertainment reporting, and reviewing of political contribution pre-clearance requests

Perform all other duties as required


Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

At least 3 years of prior related professional experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation abilities

Excellent critical thinking, judgment, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills

Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks under pressure

Accounting or bookkeeping background a strong plus

Experience conducting regulatory or other internal testing

Experience with SEC rules and regulations

Collaborative personality and open to feedback

Excellent ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies

Strong moral code and sense of ethics

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
