The Direct Hire Division of Arrow Staffing has a Manufacturing Client in the Gilmer, TX area has an IMMEDIATE need for a PRODUCT ENGINEER. Candidates will have experience with CHESS, WMS, Document Manager, PWF, Network, VPN, Proquote, EUD, SolidWorks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate, plan and lead the MRP activities through a timely and effective process of implementation and continued maintenance
  • Maximize the integration of MPR system tools into all areas of company daily activities
  • Complete product design and routine test programs
  • Interfaces with Sales, Marketing and Production to produce the best-recognized available internal lining system
  • Provide application technical support, meet with product end users to learn of product needs and improvements, provide technical input for product catalogs, installation guidelines etc.
  • Bill of material maintenance, item master management, engineering change order functions
  • Coordinate with Plant Management to develop and enact cost control and cost reduction measures as needed
  • Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to assist in establishing long and short range plans to assist and resolve technical problems that affect day-to-day operations
  • Involved in the preparation of specifications, layouts, drawings, cost estimates etc. affecting plant equipment and capital projects
  • Monitor environmental conditions to ensure compliance and work closely with agency personnel and consultants on resolutions to environment and safety issues
  • Research, plan and prepare proposals relative to procurement of equipment, CAPEX, expansion construction, major maintenance projects, service contracts or other special strategic initiative.
  • Resolve questions from key customer decision makers, contract engineers, specifies, and contractors
  • Develop the detail planning and execution of tactical goals to strengthen spec position in the marketplace
  • Strengthen and improve Domestic and International markets and market shares
  • Prepares engineering drawings for submittal to end user and reviews for completeness
  • Assist Sales / Marketing in activities such as sales promotions, training, market research, planning and executing special projects, preparing Sales forecasting for budgeting and S & OP Planning
  • Project Management responsibilities include developing and submitting proposals (Capital Requests) for new tools or other related items/projects through to completion
  • Facilitate the relationship between the end user and the Company including onsite installation training, inspection, cost justification, project support, national account support and quote follow-up
  • Stays aware of market activities including all potential competitors
  • Is active in and supports all new product development activities, including working closely with the quotations department to ensure we are the specified product, and follow-up and influence end users on project business
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturing and quality standers, including training Supervisors, leads and line people in improving quality control methods
  • Develops and maintains relationships with market specification entities and key trade organizations such as: APL, UL, CSA, IEC, SPE, NACE etc
  • Generate White Papers for products

REQUIRED:

  • Degree in Engineering (Conduit division - Electrical preferred, Duoline division - Petroleum preferred)
  • Quality Control / Statistics
  • ISO Knowledge / Experience
  • Proficient Verbal and Written English Communication Skills

Preferred

  • Corrosion Experience
  • Customer Interface
  • Familiarity with MRPII
  • Knowledge of Composite Materials
  • 3 years+ Product development and design
  • 3 years+ Manufacturing Principles, Practices and Processes
  • Conduit division will require– Electrical, Lighting Industry Experience
  • Duoline Division will require– Well Completion, Tubular, Connections, Field, Down-Hole

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Proficient
  • Auto CAD / CAD Software 2D Minimum
  • CNC Programming
