How Will You Be Contributing?

Essential Responsibilities:

The Director of Brand Marketing is a key position in the institution's Marketing department requiring an experienced marketer who has a demonstrated track record of building and managing brands. Leading a group of marketing professionals, this individual will be responsible for developing advertising creative, directing brand management, and managing our environmental brand to support our growth and promote our image.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development and execution of a powerful brand positioning strategy.
  • Act as an authority and promoter of the brand, ensuring consistent brand expression through all consumer and cultural touch points.
  • Develop and maintain the brand strategy that includes the definition of brand standards, communication touchpoints, and relevant media.
  • Translate brand strategy into unique and impactful programs across a wide range of tactics including advertising, promotions, and partnerships to build and maintain the brand.
  • Oversee the execution of all marketing collateral, advertising, audio, and video assets.
  • Design, implement and manage the branding at all existing and future campuses consistent with our environmental brand standards.
  • Direct and optimize creative agency resources to ensure efficiencies and best-in-class quality.
  • Build a strong understanding of the drivers of brand equity and the linkages to business performance.
  • Continuously analyze the tactics of our competitors to understand their approaches to the marketplace as well as the position they occupy in the minds of consumers.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  1. 5-7 years of experience in brand marketing.
  2. Proven track record of conceptualizing, implementing, and managing an exciting brand vision and market strategy.
  3. Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision and strategy into actions and results.
  4. Experience managing the environmental brand for a multi-location organization.
  5. Skilled in initiating and building valued relationships with internal stakeholders and leaders across a complex, highly matrixed organization.
  6. Excellent managerial skills, demonstrated ability to hire, motivate and develop outstanding teams.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred.
