Lead Argus' Federal POL Market:
- Argus Consulting is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Business Unit Director for Federal POL programs. This important position is responsible for leading the business development activities, managing a team and the overall execution of work for DoD and other Federal clients.
- Current federal clients include the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, various supporting agencies, and strategic partners.
- Current worldwide POL programs include facility assessments (project planning studies), design/build projects, DoD Fuel Facility MILCON projects and facility Sustainment/ Restoration/Maintenance (SR&M) projects.
- Ideally, the position will be located in our Overland Park, KS headquarters office but other office arrangements may be considered for the right applicant.

Job Responsibilities Will Include:
- The position will also lead Argus' team responsible for executing POL projects and serve as the primary point of accountability and contact for all DoD and other Federal Agencies.
- Serves as a member of the Argus Consulting Management Team, guiding and directing sustained growth, profitability, and professional standing within the industry. Emphasis placed on collaboration and communication with other Directors and Argus leadership to achieve the collective goals of the firm.
- Manage the business unit to Meet / Exceed Revenue, Profit and Growth Goals
- Advise on resource and service needs to support customer expectations.
- Implement Corporate Initiatives
- Steward of all client relations related to Business Unit, service and product lines.
- Owner of Client satisfaction ratings within the business unit
- Initiate and lead project development.
- Establish a focused business unit strategy for the business unit's specific industries and regulatory agencies.
- Play a leading role in the identification, prioritization for pursuit, and winning of major projects for business unit clients globally; and provide ongoing proactive support to manage delivery risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Focus primarily on building and growing the business, both from a strategic and a tactical perspective. Assess market conditions and trends and apply this knowledge to anticipate the scope and timing of major market movements, positioning Argus Consulting to take advantage of emerging opportunities, and counter competitors' positioning.
- Support resource planning for active and prospective projects and drive strategic resource hiring and deployment.
- Attract, develop, and retain senior market professionals who are critical to building the business with clients within the market sector.
Applicant Qualifications
- B.S. degree with technical, and/or business background preferred.
- Professional engineering degree and registration preferred but not required.
- Fifteen or more years of relevant experience preferred.
- Significant experience required with DoD fueling projects either within the DoD client organizations or within a consulting firm doing work for DoD fuels and design and construction agents.
- Significant professional network required within the DoD fueling community, with DoD design and construction agents, and within the fuels consulting community.
- This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices of POL/Fuels systems and POL/Fuels specifications sufficient to communicate and understand technical issues.
- Successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
