Location: Onsite - Camp Springs, MD


Job Description

  • ·Perform cross-network data transfers between the unclassified and classified systems.

The cross-network data transfers occur through all three networks: A LAN, HSDN, and C

LAN. The levels of classification for the classified systems are Secret and TS/SCI.

  • ·Scan for viruses on files being brought into the unclassified and classified networks and

for file transfers between the networks. The cross-network data transfers occur through

classified systems are Secret and TS/SCI.

  • Perform IT hardware and software technical support on the unclassified network such as break/fix, configurations, and installs on desktop, laptop, servers, printers, and copiers. (Support is defined as break/fix, install/change/remove, and configuration).
  • Perform data backup/restore of user's files and folders on both the unclassified.
  • Assist resource Management Division with Property Management for equipment within

the Command Center.

  • Manage the Command Center's Storage Area Network (SAN) such as installation,

configuration, and maintenance on the unclassified network.

  • Provide technical support for proprietary applications that are specific for the Command

Center such as C2 Hub (USCIS' proprietary database). (Support is defined as break/fix,

install/change/remove, and configuration).

  • Assist users with sending/receiving classified documents via fax. The sending and

receiving of classified documents via fax involve all three levels of classification -

Unclassified, Secret and TS/SCI.

  • Assist OIT Security in sanitizing workstations in the Command Center due to data

spillage from high side to low side workstations.

  • Establish Secure as well as Unsecure Video Teleconferences for users from various

Departments within DHS to include troubleshooting and re-establish dropped

connections.


Requirements

Must have and maintain at least one (1) active certification such as but not limited to Network+, Security+, CASP, GSEC, GSLC, CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, or other comparable certification or experience which must be approved in advance by the Government on a case-by-case basis.

Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with analyzing, assessing, and implementing corrective actions based on vulnerability management tools.

Proficient in providing workstation level desktop support

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating environment with Administrator level access

Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with leading projects, technical writing, administrative tasks, and conducting briefings.

Experience/familiarity with supporting the following task areas:

  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) ActivitiesDC/
  • Security Authorization Documentation
  • Security Control Assessment Response
  • Change Management
  • Continuous Monitoring
  • Configuration/Patch/Vulnerability Management, and/or
  • Incident Response.

Experience in security process mapping, security process analysis, security process improvement concepts, models, and best practices.

Experience with leading projects, technical writing, administrative tasks, and conducting briefings to federal personnel.

Excellent customer service, analytical, problem solving, team-building, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and function as an integral part of the team.
