Arctic Compressor is seeking a full-time Level Two Compressor Assembly Technician to join our growing team in Superior, Wisconsin.  This position is Full Time, Day shift, Monday through Friday with some overtime opportunities available.  

Successful applicants will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, and have the ability to learn new skills and processes quickly.


Job Purpose:

As a Level Two Assembly Technician, you will be trained in all aspects of assembling and testing Arctic Compressor’s complete product line.  You will play an integral role in manufacturing high pressure breathing air compressors used by emergency responders worldwide.  You do not need any prior compressor experience to succeed at Arctic Compressor, but a strong background in manufacturing, assembly, and testing procedures is required.


Job Duties:

  • Efficiently use hand, and power tools to assemble products.
  • Read and interpret detailed prints and work instructions, written or verbal, to complete assembly of products according to established guidelines and quality standards.
  • Quickly become proficient in all areas of production, with the ability to assist where needed.
  • Ensure completed jobs are correctly logged, checklists are finished, and work orders are closed according to the production schedule.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of parts and tools used in production.
  • Comply with all safety procedures.
  • Responsible for interpreting the results of test procedures, and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Assist in training of new assembly employees.


Skills / Qualifications:

  • High proficiency in the use of hand and power tools for assembly
  • Strong mechanical and electrical systems understanding
  • Must be able to follow and complete work instructions properly
  • Must be able to use computer software for tracking work and labor hours
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment at all times
  • Must be able to lift varying weight repeatedly up to 50 lb
  • 5+ years of assembly or relevant/related experience is required

Compensation:

Wage based on level of experience, Starting wage $24-26 per hour.
