Responsible for performing diagnoses, repairs and maintenance on customer and factory vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Interact with customers to perform diagnostic services and troubleshooting to determine repair needs and use computerized diagnostics tools as necessary
- Use computerized maintenance system to determine factory prescribed maintenance for the vehicle based on VIN
- Provide labor, time and parts estimates for repair services
- Efficiently perform high-quality repair and maintenance services on customer and factory vehicles including motors, steering, suspension, brakes, tires, brakes, control system, instrumentation and air-conditioning to factory service standards
- Inspect vehicles according to Federal and State requirements for safety
- Perform quality control checks for repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are accurately completed
- Complete all required documentation for the repair and maintenance services
- Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair and participate in Arcimoto training & education programs
- Take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness of the repair
- Maintain an organized, clean workspace and account for tools at all times
- All other duties assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Demonstrable customer service excellence
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent driving record
- Mechanical, electrical and computer skills
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Professional appearance
- Two years experience as an automotive technician
- Must provide your own service tools that will be held to Arcimoto quality standards
- ASE Certifications: A3 - Manual Drive Train & Axles (40), A4 - Suspension & Steering (40), A5 - Brakes (45), A6 - Electrical/Electronic Systems (50), B3 - Non-Structural Analysis & Damage Repair (55), B4 - Structural Analysis & Damage Repair (50), B5 - Mechanical & Electrical Components (50)
PREFERRED ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in an independent shop is a plus
- Experience with electric vehicles (EVs) is a plus
- Experience with automotive drive train batteries is a plus
