Team Arcimoto is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector. This person is responsible for the quality inspection of the product at all stages of manufacturing, quality related activities for all purchased materials for electric-vehicle (EV) components.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESPerform quality inspections at all stages of manufacturing including incoming materialsParticipate in Arcimoto's FAI First Article Inspection/first production inspection, & ongoing inspection plans that are aligned with the supplier's capabilities, quality history & product needsKnow, understand, & follow Arcimoto Quality Management SystemEnsure all quality measurements are recorded, documented, & properly reportedSupport quality engineering activities during product development purchased material quality issues, scheduled quality checks & Cpk studies, supplier audits, & supplier quality metrics activitiesContinuously monitor the manufacturing process & provide feedback to Dept of Quality & Regulatory Affairs, & when directed also to technicians, engineers, leads, & supervisorsSupport Arcimoto quality goals by facilitating permanent quality issue resolution using RCA & 8D-based SCAR process, analyze & interpret dataCommunicate timelines & progress with both internal & external stakeholdersSupport new & experienced employees to improve their job skills to enhance quality goalsOrganize & support documentation related to regulatory certifications, and other duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSCollege education in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent, & minimum of 2 years inspection-related industry experience in manufacturingFamiliarity with the state, federal, int'l, & other regulatory agencies & environment standards, regarding EV, lithium-ion batteries, DOT, ISO, CE, UL, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, etcTechnical background in mechanical testing, electronics, verifying safety & complianceQuality concepts & methods such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DOE, MSA, GageR, 8D, RCAHigh level of accuracy & detail, strong planning & project management skills & softwareExcellent written & oral communication skills, technical reports, & executive summariesPREFERRED ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGEEngineering degree & minimum of 3 to 5 years industry experience in the manufacturing of electro-mechanical products for the medical, aerospace, or auto industriesCQE, or ASQ six-sigma, or certified auditor for IATF 16949 (ISO/TS), ISO 9001, or 14001PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPhysical DemandsStand (Frequently)Walk (Frequently)Sit (Frequently)Handling/Fingering (Constantly)Reach Outward (Constantly)Reach Above Shoulder (Occasionally)Climb (Occasionally)Crawl (Occasionally)Squat or Kneel (Frequently)Bend (Frequently)Lift/Carry10 lbs or less (Constantly)11-20 lbs (Frequently)20-100 lbs (Occasionally)Team >100 lbs (Rarely)Push/Pull12 lbs or less (Frequently)13-25 lbs (Frequently)26-100 lbs (Occasionally)Team >100 lbs (Rarely)(Rarely) Occupation requires this activity less than 5% of the time (0-0.5 hr/day)(Occasionally) Occupation requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 to 2.5+ hrs/day)(Frequently) Occupation requires this activity from 33% to 66% of the time (2.5 to 5.5+ hrs/day)(Constantly) Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day)The position also requires the ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and ear protection.WORK ENVIRONMENTArcimoto operates in a research and development facility where office space and manufacturing occur.
