They are looking for a Healthcare Analyst.
The Healthcare Analyst will use his/her knowledge of healthcare economics to assist in the decision making process of the company and Department of Social Services (DSS). He/she has the expertise to study the functioning of the health care industry and conduct economic evaluations of the impact various programs have accordingly. He/she helps in developing health program goals and objectives which involve the optimum utilization of resources, while positively impact the health and well-being of the members that we serve. They will use cost and utilization data available to study the potential impact of alternative payment models, including pay for performance programs, and value of other value-based contract models, such as bundled payment programs.
The Healthcare Analyst will also support all of the development, validation, analysis and presentation of provider, ad-hoc and contractual deliverables. This would include report development with enhanced data visualization for improved interpretation, analysis and presentation. Performs all aspects of data analyses (data acquisition, data management, documentation, validation and customer facing presentation with superior visualization to enhance customer – DSS experience); identifies data issues and makes recommendations on research design and analysis for creation of standard and ad-hoc reporting and analysis. Performs sophisticated analysis of data using statistical techniques and predictive modeling data. Develops and implements advanced analytic and data mining methods. Collaborates with the executive leadership team and DSS to support Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs), Longitudinal Studies and other high level / highly visible reporting, analysis and advanced reimbursement methodologies (bundled payments, narrow networks, centers of excellence). The Health Economist will communicate and distribute academic literature, presentations and reports on research findings to update executive leadership and DSS about new issues, solutions and other pertinent topics (advanced reimbursement models such as bundled payments, narrow networks or centers of excellence).
Experience leading teams in problem solving exercises through intensive data analytics from conception to presentation.
Extensive knowledge of data visualization when sharing/presenting deliverables using powerful tools such as Tableau.
Knowledge of the health-care industry and health system, good understanding of the subject of economics and efficiency, the right balance of mathematical and analytical aptitude to comprehend the economic aspects thoroughly of all assignments.
Excellent research skills and ability to analyze findings to make appropriate use.
A clear understanding of the state and country’s health economy.
Familiarity with HEDIS, Adult Core and CHIPRA measures programming and report writing tools including SAS and SQL.
Experience with building and modeling advanced payment models (bundled payments, narrow networks, etc.).
Working knowledge with utilizing web based database applications (MS Access, Tableau and Qlikview) for reporting.
Experience with predictive modeling applications.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products specifically Access and Excel.
