NDT Level II Quality Inspector/Aircraft Composite Technician

We are seeking an NDT Level II Quality Inspector/Aircraft Composite Technician to join our team! You will conduct tests to determine the quality of materials and finished products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing and interpreting non-destructive evaluations/testing (NDT) inspections on aircraft components and assemblies
  • Perform IRT (Thermography) inspections and interpretation using inspection systems and handheld techniques to determine acceptability of aircraft components, composite bonded assemblies, in accordance with applicable specifications
  • Perform thorough examinations of all materials and finished products
  • Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations
  • Implement and improve quality control operating procedures
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and defects
  • Participate in routine visual inspections
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

​​Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in quality control or other related fields
  • Must have solid experience/expertise in Infrared Thermography Testing [I/R] techniques and hold either current or recent Level II NAS-410 or SNT-TC-1A Infrared Testing Certification
  • Requires experience with eddy current; dye penetrants; ultrasonic phased array systems; active thermographic techniques and composite materials
  • Minimum of 2 years of current experience in non-destructive testing within an aerospace environment preferred
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds as needed, standing and bending for continuous periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
