Supporting and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Assistant Controller will have the following job duties:?Provide leadership, direction and management for financial accounting.?Attract, train and retain core personnel in order to provide continuity and better production in financial accounting and to elevate the respect level of financial accounting both internally and externally. Direct reports include the Payroll Director, Accounting Managers, and Accounts Payable Manager.?Supervise the preparation and maintenance of required reconciliations, schedules, subsidiary ledgers, job cost adjustments and journal entries in support of financial statement assertions.?Maintain the accounting system (control environment, control procedures, computer system, etc.)?Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls.?Timely communicate business issues and solutions to the CFO.Preferred Job Requirements:?B.S. in Business Administration, with emphasis in accounting and/or finance.?ERP/SAP experience preferred.?CPA required, minimum 4 years of public accounting experience.?Minimum 8 years of overall financial and managerial accounting experience for a large company (revenues $200 million plus). ?Proven track record of progressive leadership and management (i.e., ability to attract and retain key talent, get the best out of personnel, and hire and fire).?Experience with developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and internal controls.?Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial forecasts and projections, and analytical review.?Must be self-motivated and work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.?Excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify issues and solutions, and ensure timely project completion with minimal supervision.?Excellent PC skills, with high proficiency in Excel as well as Outlook and Word.?Proven capacity to perform as a top 10%-er (?A? player) and demonstrate a positive attitude as a team player.This company offers a competitive salary, outstanding benefits package and the professional advantages of an environment that supports your development and recognizes your achievements.
