Our client, MiSci, is hiring an Associate Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations, to build relationships and partnerships while seeking support to help to advance the mission of the Michigan Science Center.


  • Collaborates throughout the organization to write grant proposals and reports
  • Manages and updates the grant/foundation request/report cycle
  • Researches opportunities and creates prospect lists for cultivation and solicitation of donors
  • Meets with current and potential donors in the corporate/foundation space to build partnerships
  • Prioritizes activities based on an annual calendar of grant opportunities, implementation milestones, and funding lifecycle schedules

  • B.A., B.S. from an accredited four-year college or university (required) with an emphasis in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, business management, or related field (preferred)
  • Two plus years of grant writing, creating and managing reporting cycles, and database prospecting, analysis, and outreach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well-organized, flexible, and capable of balancing multiple projects
  • Experience and success in generating corporate/foundation gifts
  • Capable of working with diverse teams both in-house and externally
  • Ability to develop and implement plans to fund both operating budgets and capital projects
