Your Role & Mission

Are you a masterful wordsmith, able to write great content in record time? Are you an expert copywriter with solid conversion rate optimization chops who can also spin a longform narrative that brings tears of joy to the eye?

If so, this is the role for you! We're hiring a Sr. Content Strategist / Sr. Staff Writer to join the content marketing team here at Apollo.io. In this role, you will write for our blog, the Apollo Magazine, for our website, and across various other projects as needed, including video, emails, webinars, and our long form quarterly Special Reports. You'll work closely with content marketers, designers, data analysts, videographers, salespeople, and web engineers to produce extraordinarily great content in a variety of mediums.

Reporting to the Head of Content Marketing, the ideal candidate for this role has a background as a professional writer and a portfolio of content that ranks (or ranked) highly on major search engines.

Responsibilities:
  • Write high-converting and clear copy for the Apollo marketing website
  • Contribute to Apollo Magazine with high-quality, journalistic content to uncover the bleeding edge of sales technology and techniques
  • Contribute to our quarterly Special Reports, diving deep into Apollo's data to help salespeople be more successful
  • Collaborate with other marketers and designers to deliver extraordinary copy wherever it may be needed

This role is fully remote (but ideally based out of the US) and may require travel as part of the content production process.

Qualifications
  • 5-8+ years of experience as a professional writer, preferably as a journalist, or a similar collaborative and results-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated track record of hitting deadlines
  • A deep portfolio of extraordinary writing across a variety of mediums, including web copy
  • Strong project management skills
  • B2B marketing experience strongly preferred
