Job Description

 

Position Summary

 

TheTravel Coordinator will provide general administrative and travel support tocorporate and field employees. They are responsible for researching, booking,and coordinating travel arrangements for all employees while maintaining abalance between quality bookings and cost effectiveness.

 

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

○  Assists with employee travel arrangements(individual travelers as well as groups of travelers)

○  Advises employees on the best/most costefficient travel plans available that will meet their needs and requirements

○  Reserves airline, car, and hoteltickets/reservations for employees

○  Assists with the travel and housing arrangementsfor offsite meetings and trade shows

○  Assists with meeting and event planningactivities both on-site and off-site (e.g. catering set-up, printing/collatingmaterials, etc)

○  Enforces corporate travel policies andprocedures; educate employees on travel policies and procedures

○  Provides administrative assistance toaccounts payable invoice reconciliation

○  Prepares written communications as needed

○  Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Skills/Requirements

○  High School Diploma or GED Equivalent isrequired

○  Prior experience in the travel or retailindustry is required

○  A minimum of 3 years of administrativeassistance is required

○  Must have excellent oral and writtencommunication skills

○  Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyin a fast-paced environment

○  Must be able to set priorities and workindependently/be a part of a team environment

○  Excellent planning and organizational skillsare required; must pay close attention to detail

○  Ability to identify and resolve problems in atimely manner

 

 

Work Environment/Physical Demands

○  Sitting at desk (95%)

○  PC or laptop use (90%)

○  Phone use (30%)

○  Filing (5%)

○  May require lifting and carrying of boxes ofsupplies or files up to 25 lbs. (2%)

○  Requires extended period of sitting while onPC/laptop or phone
