The Children's Home of Reading seeks Youth Behavioral Specialists - All Shifts - to support clients in Residential Facility.

Begin your rewarding career caring for youth in need of your support and gain valuable experience in the behavioral health field. The Children’s Home of Reading (CHOR) seeks Full-Time Youth Behavioral Specialists to provide Direct Care - 1st Shift, 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift

Must have ability to work weekends

1st Shift 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

2nd Shift 3 p.m. to 11p.m. (shift differential $.50/hour)

3rd Shift 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Youth Behavioral Specialists will provide Direct Care / work directly with adolescents (male and female) within our Residential Campus setting in Reading PA. The Children's Home of Reading offers a multi-disciplinary team approach, integrating counseling, education, recreation & life skills instruction, utilizing the Sanctuary Model of Care.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a human service related field and 1 year, direct care experience, OR High School diploma PLUS 12 semester credit hours in a human service field, and 2 years direct care experience required.

Additional Requirements: Must possess a valid PA driver's license and maintain a good driving record throughout employment. Must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance, FBI and Child Abuse History Clearance as well as pass Physical & Drug Screen. Must possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all sponsored training.
