The Children Home of Reading (CHOR) seeks part time, on-call Registered Nurses to work directly with adolescents males and females within our Residential Campus Treatment Program. The Children's Home of Reading in Berks County offers a multi-disciplinary team approach, integrating counseling, education, recreation & life skills instruction.
On-call Part-Time Schedule:
Will work approximately 3 to 6 shifts per month, primarily Sunday evenings.
Demonstrates ability in the following core and clinical competencies:
Good use of clinical interventions with clients across diverse cultures/backgrounds.
Ability to assess, interpret and effectively document data specifically related to the care of children.
Ability to evaluate strengths as well as illnesses in the diagnostic process.
Ability to administer leadership with nursing and program staff and productively evaluate the mentoring effects.
Ensure notifications are made to internal team members regarding client's medication and dosage changes.
Clinical experience working with emotionally challenged children/adolescents preferred.
Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and licensed to practice nursing in the State of Pennsylvania.
Additional Requirements: The candidate must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance, FBI and Child Abuse History Clearance, as well as possess a valid PA Driver's License. The candidate must pass a Physical & Drug Screening & possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all sponsored trainings. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
