The Children’s Home of Reading seeks an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Consultant to provide up to 5 hours per week of EMDR consulting services for our residential treatment facility providing treatment to male and female adolescents with emotional, behavioral & sexual issues. EMDR therapy is a psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.
Education/Licensing Requirements:
- Applicants must be formally trained and have experience in EMDR and be motivated to provide treatment to individuals struggling with trauma.
- Master’s from a college or university with an accredited Mental Health Counseling or Social Work program
- Active licensure to practice within PA without restrictions preferred but not required.
- Must be formally trained and experienced in EMDR
- Have own liability insurance
Additional Requirements:
The candidate must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance, FBI and Child Abuse History Clearance, as well as possess a valid PA Driver's License. The candidate must pass a Physical & Drug Screening & possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all sponsored trainings. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
