The Children’s Home of Reading seeks a Full Time Assistant Director of Residential to assist in the supervision of both direct care and clinical services within the framework of a residential treatment program for adolescents. Will also assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of quality improvement measures, accreditation standards, HIPAA, and outcome measures. To insure proper implementation of CHOR policy and procedures and ensure provision of quality services and behavior integrity within the framework of a residential program for adolescents. The Children's Home of Reading offers a multi-disciplinary team approach, integrating counseling, education, recreation & life skills instruction. The Children's Home of Reading supports and utilizes the Sanctuary Model of Care.

Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Master’s degree in Human Services field and one (1) year supervisory experience -OR- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field with at least five (5) years’ experience that includes at least two (2) to three (3) years supervisory experience.
- Two (2) years of direct work experience with children/youth, preferably within a residential setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in Quality Assessment and Improvement and other activities using established criteria to assure the quality and appropriateness of services.
Hires new direct care staff and conducts NED training.
- Manages the weekend schedule of clinical and case management staff.*
- In conjunction with Director, assists in management of Milieu Supervisors and Lead Clinicians.*
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully as a team member.
- Demonstrates accountability and responsibility for own professional and personal growth.
- Ability to express self clearly and concisely in oral and written communications.
The candidate must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance, FBI and Child Abuse History Clearance, as well as possess a valid PA driver's license and maintain a good driving record throughout employment. The candidate must pass a Physical & Drug Screening & possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all sponsored training.
