Senior Accountant

is working with a well established Financial Institution in the Munster, Indiana area that is seeking a Senior Accountant. This ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with audit preparations.  This role requires onsite presence Monday thru Friday out of the Munster, IN office. For immediate consideration please email Caleb directly at (url removed) In this role, you will: Ensuring timely close by preparing and review reconcilements per the reconciliation checklist Prepare daily and month-end journal entries as assigned Work with Assistant Controller to prepare variance analysis on key balance sheet/income statement accounts and yields Prepare reports for management and Board meetings including monthly financials, ratio analysis, and other presentations as assigned Assist in the production of the annual and periodic forecasts Experience, Education, Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, formatting, page layout, filtering, and views Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills. Preferred: 2 - 5 years of experience within a financial institution or public accounting CPA or CPA Eligible
