Janitor

Do you have a servant’s heart and live in the Oakland County area? Are you experienced in facility maintenance or janitorial support and looking for a change on a steady day shift?

APEX has partnered with a local nonprofit organization that is making a difference in Oakland and Livingston Counties.

We are looking for Janitors to support multiple departments/programs. You will perform facility set-up and reorganization, storage, custodial, and cleaning duties for to ensure that the center are maintained in a clean, safe, and healthy state and service is provided in accordance with the required state and federal guidelines

Pay rate: $14.00-$19.00 hourly, based on experience

What your day will look like:

• Responsible for sanitation of center classrooms at the main Pontiac location including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning waste containers, waste removal, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Ensure that all necessary supplies are maintained and organized such that duties can be carried out in a timely manner.
• On an as-needed basis be able to move office and classroom furniture from site to site or from room to room.
• Carry out other duties as directed by their supervisor.

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of facilities maintenance/janitorial experience is preferred.
• Able to meet physical demands of daily routine throughout the program year; lift a maximum of 75 pounds.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License and reliable transportation with a good driving record are required.
