Field Sales Engineer Precision Resistors

Home based - Atlanta, GA or Huntsville, AL or Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas or Orlando/Jacksonville, Florida area

Brief Overview

In this role you will take ownership of new business generation via design-in and design-win in the defined geography area. You will focus on design-in, identification of new projects and new/potential customers. Provide technical communication with external design engineers (or any other source that is necessary to get to the design engineer). Take ownership on all projects until they are finalized and handed over to the sales management process.

A few of the Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with engineers at existing customers (direct & distribution).
  • Ability to understand our products, their benefits over competition and to present and perform demonstrations (kits provided) to customers
  • Strategically identify new target customers in end-user markets that would benefit from using our precision resistor technology.
  • Strong communication skills to needed to ultimately satisfy customer needs and win/grow our business
  • Complete administrative requirements for reporting back to management (example): call reports, requested presentation materials, expense reports, travel reports, etc.
  • Train distributors where/when necessary to develop a joint sales capability at major customers


  • Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (BSEE) desired; other relevant electrical/electronic technical degree will be considered
  • Minimum 5+ years of face-to-face technical electronics sales experience with design-in objectives
  • Passive components/Semiconductor and Telecommunications, Fiber Optics, Electric Battery and/or Military/Aerospace OEM customer experience a plus
