The Legal and Compliance IT Business Systems Analyst serves as the technology business partner to support and implement innovative process and system improvements in support of our Legal and Compliance teams. The role will be responsible for business requirements, business process definition/documentation, systems consulting, and system support management.

Position will work with all levels of the business including business partners, technology teams, and key external vendors. Position will focus on business process documentation and business requirements, implementing and supporting business solutions, including, but not limited to Contract Management, HCP Engagement and Transparency Reporting.

  • Represent IT as the business analyst and technical SME across the Legal and Compliance business functional areas.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to understand business needs and identify solutions that align to overall business strategies. Review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs.
  • Lead, define and facilitate requirements gathering to support the project initiatives and day-to-day business for open issues and/or new business requirements.
  • Responsible for business systems consulting, project planning, prioritization, and implementation of deliverables, including implementations and operations.
  • Technical SME for system activities for the system(s), enhancements, and integration projects. Coordinates support activities across vendor(s). Systems include but are not limited to Contract management and Compliance Applications (Alanda, Porzio).
  • Interfaces with external vendors at all levels to manage the relationship and ensure the proper delivery of services.
  • Develop process documentation (current and to-be).
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues and system issues.
  • Provide IT system support, including vendor operational and maintenance and oversight to the vendor's SLAs.
    • Support and maintain procedures and operational support processes for Legal and Compliance.
  • Assist management in planning future business systems improvements projects and integrations for Legal/Compliance Business Applications.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, operations, or related disciplines. 5-7+ years Business Analyst / IT related experience.
  • Functional experience with Legal and Compliance business systems including contract management system
  • Ability to take business requirements from concept to production.
  • Proven ability to define user requirements and corresponding system specifications and creation of clear and concise documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated and passionate to learn and adopt new technology and methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Life Sciences industry knowledge (preferred)
  • Reliable, consistent, and proactive
  • Experience with business application implementations / enhancement integration projects from blueprint to Go-Live.
  • Experience working on small fast paced project teams and third-party vendors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • Experience in supporting a global organization (preferred).
