Job Description

Our Small Bookkeeping office is in Waller, TX. We may be biased – but we are pretty sure we are the greatest place to work for in Waller. And we really believe that we are changing the world – one small business at a time. Honestly, the job is not all flowers and puppy dogs – there is some good news and some bad news.

Bad News:

· 1st off – the pay sucks. Meaning you will not get rich at this job. The pay is $10/hour. It can be some extra spending money for sure. However, if you are seeking a job to support a household than this is not the job for you. Do not apply for this job if you need to support your family – you will be wasting both of our time.

· Make sure you READ all of this. You will have to answer questions when applying. If you don't answer them correctly - we will not waste our time to call you.

Good News:

· This would be the PERFECT job for a mom who's kids attend Holleman Elementary and is wanting to get back into the work force!

· We do not do stress or drama here. We expect you to work efficiently and get things done, we focus on open communication and getting things done right the first time around.

· You will experience things, do things, and make decisions on things that no big stuffy company would ever allow you to do.

· After a year here, you get to participate in a 4% match in the 401k plan. After 90 days, you get paid holidays, paid life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability.

· You don’t need to be skilled at seg-waying or bowling or escaping a room or ice-skating, but you will likely be doing all of those things. Every quarter we like to celebrate our wins and do something fun as a team.

· If you do well, you do get raises. So even if they pay rate starts out low - it's to make sure you are a good fit with our company and can handle the work.

- This is a Part-Time to Full-Time position. 

Job Requirements:

1. You need to be the type of person who gets joy out of getting things done. Every day, you will bang out a list of stuff. Important stuff. Necessary stuff.

2. You will be on the computer a lot. So, an understanding of social media, email, navigating the web, and other computer-based stuff will be necessary.

3. You will be on the phone a lot. So, you need to enjoy talking with people and giving/getting direction.

4. You need to be a person who loves to deliver remarkable experiences to other people. You know, you need to be someone who feels good by making other people feel good.

5. You need to nail down the details. You don’t need to race through work and get things done half-ass. We need you to slow down and get them done right.

6. We want you to be meticulous in your work. If you are shy or quiet that is fine also. We are not looking for the life of the party…in fact, quite the opposite. We are looking for a good, fun person, who gets their work done.

7. Must be able to handle sarcasm. It is how the owner gives hugs.

8. Applicant must pass background check, and complete several other items that the owner requires of all applicants during the hiring process.

9. You will be learning some of our easier bookkeeping clients to do the data entry for.

If you prefer compensation this is what we offer: This is a part-time, admin job. The pay is $10 an hour and the hours will be 15-30 hours a week. During tax season - you will get an extra day to work (Friday). You must come into Waller 4 times a week; sorry this isn’t a virtual job. If you rock this job, and can prove you can do this job, I do give raises. If you would like to grow into a bookkeeping position, this is also a great possibility if you are the right fit and can do the job. 

In addition to being a detailed person, you must follow systems and processes. In fact, just to prove that you are detailed oriented and can follow procedures, when you apply for this position, you must answer all questions and in the last question write – “I have found my type of people”.
