We are currently developing the world’s most durable heart valve as a growing and inclusive MedTech team with global offices in Minneapolis, US; Geneva, Switzerland; Brisbane, and Perth Australia.

We are excited to be adding the Senior Communications Specialist to our growing Marketing team! The Marketing Communications lead will play an essential role on Anteris’ marketing team, contributing to marketing projects including campaign development, messaging, advertising, print material creation, brand awareness efforts, website updates, social media, and organization events. Qualified candidates will have a solid foundation in communication concepts and practices. They will be ready to hit the ground running by writing content, managing messaging relevance and consistency, developing marketing materials, assisting with marketing campaigns, and supporting operational priorities in a strategic manner. They will have a client service focus and be able to act as a professional point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and vendors. They will be a team player who is able to work collaboratively and provide strategic leadership to brand and messaging workstreams.

About the job

  • Lead a communications strategy across multiple stakeholder groups including general media, investors, physicians, and patients.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and lead partnering PR organizations to provide communications strategies and appropriate communication outlets.
  • Develop communications that maintain a positive brand image and reputation for the organization.
  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns and events.
  • Development of media kit: content consistent with product and company messaging
  • Engage with a graphic designer(s) to develop advertisement campaigns for medical conferences, industry publications, and local/national media that support Anteris and its technologies.
  • Lead development of marketing materials for print and web, including brochures and newsletters.
  • Partner with marketing colleagues to draft and implement digital strategies and materials.
  • Manage Anteris’ website by monitoring and modifying it to achieve relevant and consistent corporate and product branding and messaging.
  • Stay up to date on the latest communications trends and brings new and innovative ideas forward.
  • Track, measure, and analyse all initiatives to report on ROI.
  • Manage and collaborate with US PR/IR firms to execute communications strategy as needed.
  • Formulate PR plans and strategies.
  • Manage media relations and requests.
  • Enhance the company’s voice and presence through online and offline channels.
  • Build and refine messaging and materials for growing investor channels.
  • Write press releases, speeches, and other PR copy to manage messaging consistency and tone for segmented audiences.
  • Plan and supervise investor events, medical conferences, advisory board meetings, etc.
  • Support the implementation of promotional plans
  • Lead survey initiatives and analysis of data related to communications initiatives.
  • Assess the impact of the various communication deliverables
  • Social media planning and execution across relevant channels; Twitter and Linked in targets for now.
  • Design social media communications that achieve marketing targets for Anteris and its technologies.
  • Manage, create and publish high-quality content that creates a ‘buzz’.
  • Liaise with internal partners to ensure content is informative, appealing, and consistent.
  • Administer all company social media accounts ensuring up-to-date content.
  • Facilitate client-company communication (respond to queries, get reviews and organize chats and Q&A sessions).
  • Monitor and prepare communications performance metrics across various channels.
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization.
  • Communicate with media and industry professionals via social media to create opportunities through a strong network.

About your experience and qualifications

  • BA in Marketing/Communications/Journalism or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in PR, Communications, Social Media, and/or Marketing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – copywriting and editing
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across a range of internal and external partners
  • Highly organized with the ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Health care industry experience/knowledge a plus
  • Travel as required but < 10% expected annually
  • Marketing and communications portfolio requested
