Job Description

Summary: The Clinician is responsible for providing clinical services to patients, including counseling and psychological assessments for children and adolescents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including the use of psychological testing and assessment measures.• Performs psychological evaluations for children with mental health disorders for purposes of diagnostic clarification and treatment planning recommendations. Diagnose psychological, behavioral, and emotional disorders in accordance with the DSMV.• These evaluations employ a comprehensive diagnostic interview, review of available records, collateral contact when available, as well as objective, and cognitive tests when indicated.• Provides a range of psychological therapeutic interventions with children of all ages with mental health disorders utilizing empirically supported modalities when indicated.• Consults with and serves as a resource for other professional personnel concerning the need for evaluation and development of psychological services.• Provides evidenced based psychotherapy using various modalities for children and adolescents. • Attend and participate in treatment team meetings or professional staff conferences. with other clinicians. • Responsible for and applies psychological procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, evidenced-based therapies, and psychological testing/psycho diagnostic testing, in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders • Meets ethical obligations for timely documentation of counseling services per State of Texas licensure requirements • Creates and provides educational outreach presentations regarding mental health-related topics and issues • Per state licensure requirements, participates in continuing education and professional development activities related to the performance of job functions and maintenance of skills in one’s professional specialty area• Provides supervision for Master/Doctoral level students in Counseling and Counseling Psychology, and adjunct supervision for Doctoral interns as needed.• Seeks consultation from peers and leadership for difficult clinical cases per State of Texas licensure requirements • Maintain an open line of communication with care providers, patients and their family members in order to efficiently address treatment concerns. • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements• PhD, PsyD and EdD in Clinical, Community, Forensic or Educational Psychology (or a certified equivalent degree from a foreign university) preferred

• At least one years of experience in a mental health setting• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills • Must have an active state license
