Job Description

Our company is currently seeking ​a Customer Service Representative to join our team! You would be responsible for answering phone calls from patients, patient representatives and attorney personnel and placing out bound calls to the reply to voicemails or gather additional information for billing purposes. The CSR also enters insurance billing information received from the patient and/or other sources for billing purposes.

Position Type: Full Time - 40 hours/week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answers phone calls as assigned by the CSR Supervisor. Obtains patient information and makes appropriate entry into the patient’s account. Escalates calls to a supervisor, Team Leader and/or account representative as appropriate.
• Enters Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer information into patient accounts using the appropriate pay source codes.
• Documents all actions taken into the patient account by writing clear and concise notes into the account.
• Safeguards all patient information by keeping all written and verbal communications confidential. Ensures all actions are in compliance with HIPAA and other appropriate federal and state laws and regulations.
• Returns phone calls to customers, insurance companies, and other parties who have left voicemail messages.
• Uses phone calls and e-mail as the main communication vehicles with co-workers.
• Performs miscellaneous special projects as assigned by management


  • In-Office Position - Not a remote opportunity

  • High school or equivalent

  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions
