Job Summary The Director of Education is responsible for the overall operations of the Academic Department at the campus level, assuring compliance with institutional, accreditation, state, and federal policy and regulation as well as Ancora’s standards, policies, and procedures. The Director of Education serves as a member of the Campus Leadership Team and supervises the Academic team, including the Academic Administrative Assistant/Registrar, Library/Learning Resource Center Point of Contact, Program Directors, faculty members, and other academic support staff.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides Services to StudentsCreates and Maintains a Master Schedules of ClassesCreates and Maintains a Master Schedule of ClassesProvides Oversight and Leadership to Program DirectorsProvide Oversight and Leadership to the Provision of Library Resources and ServicesEmbraces and Facilitates Implementation of Hybrid/Flex Instructional DeliveryManages Academic DataProvides Academic Information and Directs the Collection, Maintenance, and Reporting of Relevant DataOversees Faculty Performance and DevelopmentSupports Career Services DepartmentLeads and Develops OthersExperience RequiredMinimum:⁻ Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree required in North Carolina)⁻ 3 years of experience in educational administration⁻ 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role⁻ 3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment⁻ Ability to qualify as an instructorPreferred: - Masters Degree⁻ 5 years of experience in educational administration⁻ 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory role⁻ Experience with online instructional delivery and as an academic program director⁻ Experience in student guidance, or related field⁻ Experience managing a department (including responsibilities for P/L and staff)- Working knowledge of federal/state government education regulations
