Job Description

At Anark an SDET -  Software QA Automation Engineer is responsible for the development of internal QA strategies for automated UI and load testing, regression and smoke testing, and manual UX testing. They are also responsible for executing tests and collecting results to identify and report defects to the product engineering teams and will confirm that defects have been fixed before software is released. They will also be responsible for analyzing, reproducing, and logging customer-reported defects.

The SDET will be responsible for testing multiple Anark product offerings on several platforms, including Windows client-server applications and virtualized and containerized web applications (on-premise and public/private cloud).

The SDET will work on a team of engineers and will work closely with the product engineering teams to stay up-to-date on new features, expected fixes, and release status.

The ideal candidate will be a Computer Science or other Engineering program graduate with 4+ years of software QA experience with web and client-server applications.

Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience with JavaScript end-to-end or functional testing frameworks that make use of Page Object Model, such as TestCafe, Jest, Cypress, or similar
  • Experience with JS load testing frameworks such as K6, Artillery, or similar
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, cURL, or similar
  • Experience with Source Control, Defect Tracking, and Test Management Tools such as TFS
  • Experience with TypeScript or other strongly typed OOP language
  • Experience in NodeJS environment
  • Experience with HTML and CSS Selectors
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Operating Systems including Windows Desktop and Server and RHEL 7+ (or similar)
  • Strong technical and communication skills—capable of garnering the respect of team members and associates within the company
  • Strong analytical skills—capable of troubleshooting, debugging, and assisting in the repair of customer environments
  • Strong work ethic—able to manage multiple deliverables while adhering to busy schedules
Desired Skills
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or similar cloud computing offerings
  • Experience with Container Management Tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Experience with Monitoring Tools such as Grafana
  • Experience with CAD systems such as NX, Creo, or similar
  • Experience with the MERN stack
  • Experience with MacOS, iOS, and Android
  • Experience with SQL Server and IIS
  • Experience with Chaos Engineering tools such as Gremlin
Required Education and Professional Experience
  • BS in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of software QA experience with web and client-server applications, half or more in Automation
