Receiving Coordinator – Job Description
Auburn, WA (Monday – Friday from 7am – 4pm)
The Receiving Coordinator will track product shipments between sites and maintain receiving schedules
to meet inventory priorities. You will communicate issues effectively to the appropriate parties. This
includes identifying and addressing priorities and issues relating to shipping, purchase orders, overages,
shorts, not on truck, damage, carrier performance and product flow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze and anticipate inventory levels and capacity of the facility and balance loads between locations and storage.
Proactively identify and address priorities/issues relating to product flow.
Manage inbound transportation activities between multiple locations.
Review incoming shipments and verify receipts and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain receiving schedules and documents to meet inventory levels.
Validate shipment orders for accuracy.
Audit daily receipts and records, against inbounding delivery and transfers.
Resolve discrepancies discovered during the audit with suppliers/carriers: overages, shorts, and damage.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of transactions.
Generate reports and perform data analytics.
Manage loss/damage claims, including review for “completeness” and resolving claims.
Provide visibility into carrier performance and timeliness system generated reports.
Resolve complaints and/or disputes with third party shipping agents, truckers and suppliers.
Provide daily updates, receiving exceptions, and recommendations to management.
Proficient experience using Excel (including pivot tables), Word, and Outlook.
Comfortable quickly learning new software.
Excellent problem solving and analytical ability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organized, energetic and self-motivated to proactively manage and meet daily deadlines.
Working knowledge of, and experience with, WMS and Oracle.
Inventory tracking experience.
4-year college degree, or equivalent, in business administration.
