Job Summary:

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will perform HR day-to-day and continuous improvement tasks, focusing on recruiting/onboarding, benefits, off boarding, leave of absence, workers' compensation, workplace safety, events, employee relations, training, performance management, and policy/employment law compliance, etc. The HR Generalist will help plan programs and processes designed to improve employee welfare and also maintain vital employee records. Additionally, the HR Generalist will ensure operational safety compliance of employees. 

Essential Job Functions (include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Responsible for handling full employee cycle such as recruiting/onboarding, benefits, off boarding, leave of absence, workers' compensation, workplace safety, events, employee relations, training, performance management, and policy/employment law compliance, etc.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees on HR-related matters, such as company policies, benefits, leaves, etc. Proactively interact with employees to promote positive relations and address potential issues.
  • Review existing policies and making recommendations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain accurate employee records and reports, including up-to-date employee information in relevant HR systems. Generate reports, metrics, and analytics based on organizational needs.
  • Partner with leadership to administer various human resources plans and procedures.
  • Prepare HR metrics and corporate presentations.
  • Maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act standards.
  • Coordinate and manage internal HR communications; plan, facilitate, and host corporate events.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures involving employee safety and training according to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist in HR and other departments compliance audits as necessary.
  • Administer, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace; coordinate and conduct evacuation drills and promote safe workplace practices.
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  • Assist HR Director to develop and execute HR initiatives to continuously improve HR programs.
  • Onsite 5-day per week work arrangement. 
  • Perform other HR related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  None.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology is preferred.
  • Experience and/or Training:

    • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in HR administration, people management skills, and employment/labor laws. Previous experience in the technology or manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Practical knowledge of HR functions.
    • Positive attitude and great work ethic.
    • Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
    • Familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent organization, detailed oriented, offering follow-up skills, with the ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple deadlines in a growing company environment. 
    • High level of customer services.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
    • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees within the organization.
    • Ability to work together with global employees across different time zones during off-hours.
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams; working knowledge of ADP Workforce and Navision is preferred.
    • Working knowledge of recruitment platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter).
    • Knowledge of JAZZHR is a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; regularly use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear; and doing things such as analytical work or reports, which requires focus, while utilizing a computer.
  • Must be able to operate general office equipment. • Physical stamina to stand, reach, bend, lift, grasp, and kneel.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work together with global employees across different time zones during off-hours.  
  • Ability to travel domestically, including overnight travel, for career fairs and/or professional workshops up to 3 times per year.

The expected annual base pay range for this position is expected to be $70,000 to $80,000. Multiple factors are considered in determining base pay including (but not limited to) an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
