Automotive Fleet Mechanic/Technician

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Automotive Mechanic/Technician in CONCORD, CA! The Automotive Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light-medium duty gasoline and small engine diesel fleet step vans/trucks. Comprehension of brakes, gas engines, small engine diesel engines, suspension, diagnostics, electrical, a/c, diagnostics and chassis repair are needed when conducting PMs and minor repairs on company fleet vehicles. At least 2 ASE certifications and a CDL B preferred. Computer competency is needed as well to manage part purchasing and work orders through fleet maintenance programs. Any experience with heavy equipment and aerial hydraulics is a plus!

Compensation: $26-28/hr (negotiable based on experience and rate may be modified) - Paid weekly, every Friday! SIGN-ON BONUS APPLIED! OVERTIME AVAILABLE!

What the Automotive and Diesel Mechanic/Technician role looks like:

Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles
Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation

What our ideal candidate looks like:
At least 3 years’ experience as an Diesel Mechanic/Technician performing vehicle repair and maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills
Must have own tools
Must have valid driver's license.
