Our client, in the Financial Services & Banking Industry, is actively seeking an accomplished Technical Business Analyst.

Position: Technical Business Analyst

Location: St. Louis, MO

Duration: 4 months+ contract with possibility of extension!!!

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Contractor will work within a small team of business analysts. The contractor will work with developers, architects, business analysts, and technical subject matter experts of multiple applications to understand and document current-state architecture and workflows, and alternate future-state options, with pros/cons/risks. This contractor will document exceptions, constraints and dependencies between applications within current-state and future-state architecture. The contractor will recommend solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative work and process flows.

·         Understand and document current-state architecture, cross-application, and middleware dependencies and constraints by reviewing and understanding technical documents, and interviewing technical and business subject matter experts (SMEs).

·         Participate in technical reviews and “working” meetings.

·         Communicate- writing, speaking, and presentation- concepts and constraints completely and clearly.

·         Provide input and guidance to the technical team on requirements.

·         Ensure that each impacted development team is aware of dependencies and handoffs.

·         Provide advanced analysis and strong written and verbal communications with management and staff.

·         Work independently and in a collaborative team environment to complete needed jobs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with an emphasis in Software Development or commensurate experience

·         3+ years’ experience with IT application development, technical software design and development

·         Experience with application middleware (AWS cloud), databases (PostgreSQL, Aurora), and programming logic

·         Proficient in the use of various software programs, including word processing, diagraming, spreadsheets, etc.

·         Prior work in an Agile (Scrum, Kanban) environment preferred

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

·         Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

·         Grasps business-centric data principles.

·         Experience working with both management and technical staff in a collaborative way
