Job Description

Our client, a major provider of revenue and payment cycle management and clinical information exchange solutions, is actively seeking an accomplished Credentialing Specialist (Remote).

Position: Credentialing Specialist (candidate will work remotely until the Pittsburgh office is opened)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15220

Duration:  4 months

 

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr. W2 - $20.00/hr. W2 (depending upon experience)

 

Job Description:

Complete/submit all necessary documents/applications to credential providers with respective insurance carriers and national entities; including, but not limited to:

  • CAQH
  • NPI Registry
  • Maintain current credentialing processes for all insurance carriers
  • Complete routine review of carrier policies and forms to ensure current and update documents are being utilized; frequency determined by insurance or national entity
  • Enter and maintain system profiles/databases used for storing provider billing numbers
  • Written and/or verbal follow-up of outstanding credentialing requests with client and/or insurances carriers
  • Handles escalated client concerns related to provider credentialing matters
  • Research/resolve accounts appearing on A/R reports related to credentialing matters; including pre/post billing edits
  • Participate in identifying current/potential credentialing issues specific to outstanding receivable

 Essential Functions (continued):

  • Participate/Develop department wide communications or pathways, notifying staff of updated insurance guidelines/processing information related to credentialing and the processing of credentialed providers
  • Participate in trainings/meetings with Payers, internal departments, offshore partners, Client contact(s) and TES Management, etc. to address trends in denials or unprocessed claims
  • Analyze and report on information identified by A/R Follow Up Supervisors of current and/or potential billing issues specific to credentialed /non-credentialed providers
  • Presenting data to appropriate parties and partnering to develop resolutions
  • Participates in daily production assignments that will continue to develop understanding and knowledge of processing guidelines and expectations of respective client(s) payer mix
  • Complete credentialing related training/quality review of domestic/offshore team members
  • Assist in other duties as assigned

 Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of additional schooling/related work experience; including 1 year of prior credentialing experience required
  • Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook, Adobe.
  • Must maintain patient/client confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of various insurance credentialing requirements by provider type and specialty
  • Represents the office/Organization in a positive manner; supports and encourages strong morale and spirit in his/her team; works well with others
