Job Description

DESCRIPTION: Production Planner

 

PURPOSE: To plan, organize and control activities of production scheduling/planning and maintain inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensuring that customer demands are met and those goods are produced in an efficient and timely manner

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of products. Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates to meet customer orders.
  • Analyze production specification and plant capacity data and performs calculations to determine manufacturing processes and resource requirements.
    Plans and schedules workflow for operation according to established manufacturing sequences and lead time.
  • Meet with department managers and supervisors to determine status of assigned project.
  • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
    Prepares production reports.
  • Prepare purchase orders to obtain materials.
  • Maintains record keeping systems.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATION: A bachelor's degree and food industry experience; 3-5 yrs of manufacturing planning experience; Previous experience in ERP software production planning modules; excellent communication skill; Computer proficiency with an emphasis in MS Office, especially MS Excel;

Experience:

  • ERP Software: 1 year (Required)
  • Food Industry: 1 year (Required)
  • Manufacturing Planning: 3 years (Required)
