Job Description
​AMERIND Risk is a federally chartered tribally owned corporation, formed under Section 17 of the Indian Reorganization Act (25 U.S.C. § 5124) by its Members, the governmental units of federally recognized Tribal Nations that administer federally funded housing programs for American Indian and Alaska Native families. AMERIND Risk has the operating authority to work with Tribal Governments, Enterprises, and Citizens for Property and Liability, Workers Compensation, Homeowners and Renters, Employee Benefits coverage, Fleet Auto coverage, and Critical Infrastructure development.

Job Summary
Interacts directly with management and other teams throughout the company to deliver reporting solutions and projects, translating numbers into common Insurance language to help the company make better business decisions. This position is responsible for analyzing business intelligence and reporting requirements, and producing a range of reports, dashboards and other solutions. This role will also create new reports and enhance existing ones using various business intelligence tools, through information available in the data warehouse in order to deliver report solutions and reporting packages, database solutions, as well as maintenance of existing services and deliverables related to reporting needs.

Job Responsibilities
•Maintains data warehouse, builds new reports, ad hoc reports, and updates existing reports.
•Works with user community to identify reporting issues/enhancements and documents business requirements in sufficient detail.
•Participates as a member of a project team and/or work independently on projects.
•Provides initial and/or follow-up user training as needed.
•Organizes and prepares data for customer analysis.
•Participates in cross-functional team process improvement projects.
•Maintains strict departmental confidentiality, quality, and professional standards.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervision of Others

Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree in CIS, MIS, Computer Science, and 4+ years of experience in related field.
•Two years MS SQL, MySQL experience
•Valid driver’s license
•No felony, theft or fraud convictions and must be able to successfully pass a background investigation.

Additional Eligibility Requirements
•New employees must complete the Associate in Insurance (AINS) designation within six months from the end of the 90-day evaluation period in order to be eligible for advancement and incentive compensation.
•For continued employment, employees must complete an elective course, targeted training, and six hours of professional development within 12 months after the end of 90-day evaluation period.

•Experience in C#, Visual Studio, JavaScript, CSS, and current web technologies such as .NET, ASP, JSON, and XML.
•Experience with the following technologies: SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SSIS Reporting, Power BI, Dynamics CRM, Dynamics GP, SharePoint, Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot.
•Insurance and financial experience desired.
•Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
•Knowledge of quality control practices and procedures.
•Knowledge of computer flow charts and of programming logic and codes.
•Knowledge of AMERIND products and services.
•Ability to exercise independent judgment.
•Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines.
•Maintains confidentiality, quality, and professional standards.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
•Typical business office setting with moderate noise level.
•Non-office environment may be encountered for offsite presentations and support of company activities.
•Must be able to sit for work at a computer for more than 6 hours per day.
•Must be able to use hands for dexterity of motion and reach with hands and arms due to extensive use of computer keyboards.
•Must have visual acuity to distinguish colors, images, and depth perception.
•Frequently required to talk and hear.
•Must have ability to occasionally lift 20+ lbs.
•Minimal business travel required; COVID-19 vaccination required.
