Label Room Attendant

Job Description

 

The Label Room Attendant will be responsible for check-in/check-out of all production labels as well as any needed printing operations as dictated by the production schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited, to the following:  Control the distribution of all container labels while providing a secondary accuracy check to avoid any potential mislabeling of containers.

Print/finish container labels in accordance with the production scheduled

Care and maintain the operational integrity of all printers/finishers

Navigate and maintain computerized artwork (.tif) files.  Report any issues with the IT and/or graphics department

Effectively communicate container label availability to foreman, managers, and scheduling.

Overall organization and housekeeping within the label room

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPEERIENCE
A high school education or equivalent is a minimum.  A two year degree from a college or technical school is desired  A high level of attention to detail or strong computer skills are a must  Proven track record of dependability and good attendance. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, edit, proofread and interpret documents such as, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), product labeling, and production schedules.

MATHMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide

ORGANIZATIONAL/CLERICAL SKILLS
Ability to track multiple projects/tasks requiring input from other team members.  Ability to use email and answer questions in a precise and professional manner

PROFESSIONAL/COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Provides assistance to other members of the organization as needed.  Interacts with co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.  Maintains organized, professional workspace.  Takes initiative to learn a new task and solve problems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to write, handle, or fee and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is required to stand and walk quite frequently.  The e4mployee must occasionally lift and/or move labels and Vivo printing supplies.
