American Security Programs is currently seeking Protective Security Officers for Federal Protective Service contracts in Albany, New York.
Responsibilities: The Security Officer will assist Federal Protective Service in the protection of Federal facilities, property, employees, and facility guests on behalf of the people of the United States.
Must possess one or more of the following qualifications:
-- Minimum of two years Armed Security experience
-- Minimum of two years Law Enforcement experience
-- Minimum of two years Honorable service as a member of US Armed Forces
High School Diploma or GED is required
Must be a United States Citizen
Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the State
Pistol Permit is required
NYS Armed Guard License is required unless a waiver can be obtained for firearms training due to law enforcement experience.
Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot
Monitor facility security control center (CCV) and security fire alarms
Screen packages, personnel, and vehicles for firearms, explosives and other dangerous weapons
Process visitors, maintain contact list, issue and access badges
Patrol to ensure that only authorized personnel/ vehicles enter facilities
