American Reading Company's Production Department is looking for a Bilingual Copyeditor to add to our team.We are looking for a motivated individual to assist in producing and copyediting innovative teacher and student materials for schools in both Spanish and English. The role is responsible for the copyediting of curricular, publishing, and marketing materials in both print and digital formats. This position involves the entire print process, from pre-press to quality checks of finished materials once they are received in-house.

We are a high growth, triple bottom line (People, Planet, Profit), and 100% solar-powered organization.Responsibilities: Copyedit Spanish and English curriculum materials, such as handbooks for all grades, in an educational environment, striving for parity between the Spanish and English versions. Work closely with writers to understand their intended meanings and improve the clarity of their text where needed. Collaborate and work flexibly with writers, designers, and other copyeditors to update and enhance products to align with in-house standards and meet deadlines.
Identify inconsistencies in language or format across materials and assist in correcting those issues. Confirm the accuracy of direct quotations and details in material/resource references. Assist in the proofing of all materials created for printing.
