LOCATION: Columbus, WI
SUMMARY: The Corporate Finance Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer, CFO and will direct the overall treasury, tax and risk management practices for this fast growing, privately-held company. This role will work with the CFO and Corporate Controller to ensure the company has an appropriate capital structure and financial flexibility necessary to achieve business objectives. In addition, this role will provide corporate oversight in risk management and coordinate with external CPA to execute appropriate tax strategies. The Corporate Finance Manager is a key member of the finance leadership team and will interact with senior leadership, as well as external partners in banking, tax and insurance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university and at least five years of experience in corporate accounting, treasury or tax with a minimum of two years of management responsibilities.
Experience in public accounting, cash/debt management or S-Corp tax is a plus.
Project management skills and tech savvy to effectively drive technology initiatives across the corporate and business unit finance team.
Self-Motivation - ability to engage in all activities required in a rapidly growing environment focused on cost containment, revenue enhancement, and essential operating income performance.
Intellectual curiosity- Comfortable challenging the status quo and identifying new approaches to existing processes.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

The Corporate Finance Manager is a key member of the finance leadership team and will interact with senior leadership, as well as external partners in banking, tax and insurance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Treasury/Cash Management
- Forecast and Analyze sources/uses of cash on a short-term and long-term basis. Understand the current business trends and needs to manage the Company's working capital and liquidity position.
- Develop strong relationships with the bankers to drive treasury management initiatives for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Monitor Company leverage ratio. Ensure compliance with and reporting of loan agreement financial covenants and other requirements.
- Manage interest rate risk management via swap strategy and execution.
- Oversee the Supplier Finance programs for vendors and select customers in partnership with Corporate Purchasing and Sales Management.
- Maintain a strong system of policies and procedures and impose a high level of control over treasury activities
- Lead cash management processing transformational projects.
- Tax:
- Corporate and Shareholder income tax returns are prepared by an external CPA firm; however, this role requires general accounting experience.
- Provide leadership to Senior Tax Analyst and other members of the Corporate Finance team on tax matters.
- Facilitate information flow between the Company and the external tax firm including calculations, schedules, credits, supporting documents, etc. for various State returns, (both Corporate and Composite) as well as Federal book-to-tax adjustments.
- Supervise the coordination of quarterly Corporate, Composite and Shareholder estimated tax payment calculations with external tax firm as well as the filing and payment of various estimates and extensions as instructed.
- Prepare and oversee the annual Shareholder tax true-up calculation and tax return distribution.
- Oversee preparation of various tax returns. Examples include sales and use tax returns, B&O returns, CAT returns and commerce returns.
- Collaborate with Senior Tax Analyst to manage state nexus inquiries and compliance.
- Provide tax support as issues arise.
- Risk Management/Insurance:
- Oversee financial risk management framework for the Company.
- Company liaison with APC's insurance broker and insurers.
- Coordinate with insurance broker to identify gaps in insurance coverage and appropriate coverage limits.
- Manage the annual property and liability insurance policy renewal (review premiums, provide renewal information, etc.).
- Partner with Operations to identify and address risk concerns related to property and workers compensation loss control. Manage large insurance claims.
- Provide business units with policy coverage information and expense allocations impacting actual and budgeted financial statements.
- Customer credit oversight (approval of customer credit, manage and create/identify tools and services for monitoring customer credit and financial standing, manage customer credit insurance coverages and reporting, etc.)
- Provide leadership in project management and implementation planning for ERP, financial suite and other ancillary software solutions
- Lead the preparation of Company presentation materials for the external treasury and risk management partners (banks, insurance brokers, etc.)
- Other corporate finance and accounting duties as necessary
