High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable

Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions in the same language.

Knowledge of principles, concepts and applications of maintenance directives, data reporting, and using technical data is mandatory.

Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements.

Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms). Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning and washing.

Performs any other supportive duties as assigned.

Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required).

Must be able to, if required, obtain, and maintain a government driver's license. If controlled movement area (CMA) access is required must be able to pass color vision test.

Environment ranges from office, hangar and flight line and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.

May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract where individual possesses required experience, training, and/or certifications.

Requirements

General Requirements: Conducts daily Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) servicing and dispatch operations. Services equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air. Operates, cleans, inspects and services vehicles. Manages and maintains AGE Sub-Pools. Troubleshoots vehicle and equipment. Performs all required maintenance and inspections. Performs minor malfunction troubleshooting on vehicles and equipment repairs. Prepares AGE for storage and mobility deployment. May be required to solve and repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical publications and analyzes or repair AGE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools. Stores, handles, uses, and disposes of hazardous material and waste according to environmental standards. Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar inspections as required.

Provides technical guidance to lower-level technicians as required. Will be required to obtain and maintain special certifications as directed by management. Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to vehicle or equipment maintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required. May be required to monitor and lead teams to perform more complex aircraft inspections and repairs. Will be required to write/initiate engineering technical assistance requests.

Specific Requirements: Minimum of 6 years performing functions listed above. Extensive working knowledge of USAF Aerospace Ground Equipment or sister service Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is required. Additionally, experience of fighter AGE requirements and USAF MIS systems, forms documentation and strict adherence to technical data is required. Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by managers, leads, and more senior technicians.
