We are recruiting a FSQS Supervisor to join our team! Your position will focus on improving and maintaining our Food Safety & Quality Systems.
Assists in managing and coordinating the Quality Management System and all elements.
Supports the plant in the identification of quality related issues and leads the development of continuous improvement plans for the facility.
Supports the plant HACCP, Quality Systems, Foods Safety & Food Defense Programs.
Reviews technical problems or procedural issues and recommends solutions.
Defines Statistical Process Control methods by setting targets and limits for production.
Provides direction and training for facility compliance to all quality programs, policies and procedures. Develops documentation to drive quality in the facility.
Ensures internal and external specifications are being met and all product is food safe.
Manages sampling plans, rework requirements for quality holds in the plant that includes raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
Analyzes and reports consumer information to the plant employees that includes customer complaints by product category and types of complaints.
Analyzes and reports quality trends to the organization while driving plant objectives and KPI’s of quality, safety, productivity and customer service.
Cooperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company polices, SOP’s, work instructions and internal operational goals.
Address non-conformances by developing and implementing effective corrective actions.
Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, auditors or members of the business community.
Demonstrates a commitment to employee safety, teamwork and product quality.
Develops and implements corrective actions to food safety and quality concerns.
Oversees the QA Team Leads, QA Techs and Document Control Coordinator roles.
Collaborates with maintenance on equipment calibration issues and creates work orders.
Must follow and enforce GMP production guidelines and quality procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree - Microbiology or Food Science preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality leadership or supervisory role.
SQF Practitioner Certification and SQF experience is strongly desired.
Prior experience in food environment a plus.
Bilingual - English/Spanish beneficial.
Working knowledge of SQF auditing principles and guidelines. Familiar with current food manufacturing regulatory requirements and standards.
Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot quality issues and pays close attention to details.
