Job Description


As Marketing Director, you will manage the day-to-day operations and activities of the Marketing Programs team. You will be responsible for leading the development and successful execution of data-driven, integrated marketing strategies to drive business objectives, goals, results, and ROI in alignment with the overall goals of the Marketing & Communications team to achieve the goals & objectives of the ANA Enterprise strategic plan.



  • Plan, develop and execute marketing strategies for new and existing products, services and programs
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications colleagues to ensure strategic, integrated planning, execution and analysis to optimize efficient operations and impact
  • Recruit, hire, retain, and lead staff by providing guidance, mentoring, and constructive and direct feedback 
  • Leverage data and direct ROI reports to provide insights on campaigns and disseminate this information to program partners to better inform them of the work, results and ROI
  • Develop, oversee, and track the marketing budget to minimize expense, meet program goals, and maximize ROI
  • Lead and perform general market research to keep abreast of trends, marketing movements, and analysis to remain competitive
  • Collaborate with programs, product, and service teams enabling them to meet their objectives 
  • Lead the execution of segmenting and targeting audiences and markets to serve relevant messages and content
  • Oversee implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and promotions
  • Drive paid search and social media to support digital first, reach and revenue goals  
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends
  • Fluent in and able to leverage the latest marketing technologies to execute integrated campaigns, to measure results and drive outcomes



  • Bachelor’s degree required in advertising, marketing, English, or communications preferred; Master’s degree preferred 
  • Minimum 12+ years overall product or service marketing experience with a minimum of 5 years managing a marketing team of 8+ people, and Association experience and healthcare or nursing professional knowledge preferred
  • Proven experience as Marketing Director with track record of understanding and leveraging data to perform analytics and drive decisions
  • Experience and excellent understanding of the digital landscape including email marketing, content marketing, lead generation, social media, and digital advertising
  • Marketing strategy and planning, leadership and organizing skills, analytical and creative thinking, and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Up to speed with current and online marketing techniques and best practices, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Customer-oriented approach with aptitude
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude, collegial, positive and innovative work style
  • Flexibility and diplomacy when dealing with changing priorities and demanding workload and ability to multi-task without losing critical attention to details
  • Client Relationships, Coaching, Managing Processes, Self-Motivated, Marketing Plan, Subordinate Involvement, Customer Focus, Marketing Research, Statistical Analysis, Developing Budgets, Financial Planning and Strategy
