Campground Host in Utah, Ashley National Forest's Summit Springs Area IMMEDIATE NEED
American Land and Leisure Manila, UT
- Expired: August 26, 2021. Applications are no longer accepted.
We have an immediate need for a Camp Host in the Flaming Gorge area. This is a unique opportunity to work in the outdoors and experience the beauty of Summit Springs. Opportunities could include staying on a house-boat, visiting and maintaining campgrounds only accessible by boat, or staying in your RV in a more traditional campground.
Our hosts are a guest's first point of contact when they arrive at a facility. They greet the public, assist them with questions, finding a site, or providing guidance about the forest and local area. A Host's goal is to provide customer service during a guest's use of a facility. Prior to a guest's arrival, the Host prepares the facility, sites, and amenities for the clean, operable, and safe use. This entails cleaning, landscaping, inspection, and maintenance of the grounds, sites, restrooms, amenities, and additional facilities. During a guest's visit, a Host continues cleaning, landscaping, inspection, and maintenance and additionally collects fees, fulfills reservations, upholds rules, and sells approved items. When a guest leaves, the Host promptly attends to the site and makes it ready for the next guest. Additional duties and projects are assigned by managers.
The Dixie National Forest spans almost 2 million acres and stretches for about 170 miles across southern Utah. The area we operate in is northeast of St. George, UT near Cedar City, UT and then due east. Some may be familiar with the Cedar Breaks National Monument and this area surrounds the monument and is just east of that location.
