JOB TITLE: Conservation Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Customer Retention
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
Duties include direct contact with policyholders by telephone. Responsibilities include retaining current policyholders business by explaining current benefits, collecting past due premiums and offering methods to satisfy their insurance needs. There is no cold calling.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Perform various duties with a high degree of accuracy. Responsible for servicing inbound calls from current policyholders with the intent of cancelling their insurance benefits and/or placing outbound calls to current policyholders regarding coverage, premium and other policy information. Answer questions regarding coverage, premium and other policy information. Includes the ability to record the outcome of the call and perform research necessary to effectively answer policyholder questions and concerns. Compose business letters, effectively communicate in writing and verbally, work independently and make judgment decisions. Discretion and tact must be used in providing service to customers. Requires extensive telephone contact. Other duties as required by the department.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum typing requirement of 30 wpm. Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent thereof. Ability to operate standard office equipment as well as various software packages required by the department. Ability to understand and apply a variety of oral and written instructions, demonstrates initiative. Proficient communication skills including proper grammar, word usage, and punctuation in writing and verbally. One year experience in Policy Owner Service.
PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITY:
This position is structured so that advancement to a Senior Conservation Specialist position (LG5) is automatic after one year of service.
F/T SHIFT HOURS:
F/T 1st Shifts
7:30 – 4:30 PM Monday - Friday
8:00 – 5:00 PM Monday - Friday
F/T 2nd Shifts
11:00 – 8:00 PM Monday - Friday
2:00 – 9:00 PM Monday - Friday
Hourly Wage - $12.24 per hour
*2nd shift differential pay
