Merchant Financing is an exciting and fast growing business inside American Express's Global Commercial Payments group. Merchant Financing is a short term commercial loan that is sold to American Express customers who accept the American Express card at their place of business. The West Coast Sales Coordinator is a very important role responsible for helping the Western Director of Sales drive business growth in funded loans. The position requires a high level of professionalism and a high level of proficiency with on-line office systems including, Concur, Outlook, and the Microsoft office suite Word, PowerPoint and Excel. The candidate will be responsible for supporting, and working with, personnel that are located in different geographic office locations. The candidate is an ambassador for the US Sales team to other business and functional areas throughout Merchant Financing and to clients or partners. In this regard, the candidate is expected to build and maintain positive relationships with staff and be an active participant on administrative teams. * Proficient and experienced in building dashboards in a environment using complex data * Strong Excel experience including pivot tables, vlookup, creating meaningful graphs and charts using sales data * High level of administrative and organizational skills, including verbal and communication skills. * Strong analytical skills. * Ability to manage team calendars, including the scheduling of meetings and conference calls, and making travel arrangements (5% of time) * Taking the initiative to find solutions to problems, and providing timely follow-through on projects. * High energy and a strong ability to work with a sense of urgency and under pressure, as needed to handle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently. * Punctual and reliable. * Attention to detail. * Ability to interface effectively with clients and partners. * Advanced Excel skill & basics in SQL a plus * Ability and experience in creating PowerPoint presentations for senior leaders * Sales Team support: 50% of role/time o Salesforce: Edit & create, maintain & improve, manage & distribute the reports & dashboard inventory for the US Sales teams and to internal partners. o Help Directors of Sales in tracking Sales performance in; Leads pipeline, Opportunities funnel, pipeline velocity, Activity reports. Help Revenue forecast and analyze campaign results by channel, by team and by individual. o Help analyze Partner's performance referrals, pipeline, revenues & risk and opportunities. o Help prepare pipeline and portfolio reviews o Help develop prospect portfolios for Sales managers o Help develop Presentation for business unit reviews, monthly team and ad hoc meetings * Team administration: 15 % of role/time o On-boarding and off-boarding support and managing admin processes for sales team o Planning and training for new hires, under leadership of hiring Team leader o Payroll entries, PTO, attendance, leave of absences etc... o Monitor team's T&E expense Vs budget. o Monitor RewardsBlue points program for sales team o Monitor progress on Training & Learning o Monitor and track performance management progress o Facilitate Teams staff meetings, calls and town halls o Coordinate regular pipeline reviews planning o Coordinate calendar and facilitate regular meeting coordination with partners. * Special projects: 35% of role and time o Support Director of Sales and sales team with ad hoc request, special project in line with Merchant Financing US goals and strategy o One off projects Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions. **Job** *Sales* **Title:** *Coordinator-Sales* **Location:** *IL-Springfield* **Other Locations:** *US-Colorado, US-Nevada, US-California, US-Arizona, US-Texas, US-Oregon, US-Washington, US-Utah* **Requisition ID:** *19001449*
