Position Purpose/Summary

The VP of Commercial Sales is committed to providing the highest quality of service to the communities, customers, and employees we serve by driving revenue growth for small and medium sized businesses while hitting the ground running to take our company to the next level.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Develop the annual sales plan.
  2. Recruit sales staff where needed.
  3. Manage and lead the sales team.
  4. Forecast monthly and yearly sales.
  5. Collaborate with marketing to develop programs, leads and collateral.
  6. Measure and improve customer satisfaction.
  7. Maintain key customer relationships.
  8. Drive revenue and market share across regional footprints.
  9. Develop and execute against strategic regional sales plans.
  10. Enable and lead the regional sales team to exceed sales targets.
  11. Advocate internally on behalf of the sales team and our customers.
  12. Assist with advanced contract negotiations.
  13. Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
  14. Work closely with sales operations and marketing to identify and track joint goals around funnel leads, pipeline revenue, sales opportunities, and conversion.
  15. Hire, motivate, and lead a high-performing team through coaching, top-tier talent retention, and directed recruiting efforts.
  16. Supervises staff, including training, providing work direction, problem-solving assistance, reviewing performance, recommending salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.
  17. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  2. Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.
  3. Ability to work as a team member and exert initiative to work independently to reach a goal.
  4. Ability to embrace change in the workplace while encouraging others to seek innovative approaches.
  5. Ability to function effectively as a team player.
  6. Knowledge of and the ability to comply with Company’s Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) regulations and procedures.
  7. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, as needed, to best serve our customers.
  8. Ability to travel, as needed, for company meetings, industry trade shows, customer meetings, etc.
  9. Ability to accurately forecast business sales (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  10. Knowledge of internet, broadband, and telecom infrastructure.
Qualifications

At a minimum, the VP of Commercial Sales must have a bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or equivalent field of study, along with 10+ years of technology related sales and sales leadership experience, 5+ years of quota carrying, solution-based direct sales experience, and proven expert knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and track record of leading high performing teams that develop strong pipeline and revenue performance along with a track record of consistently achieving or surpassing quota.
