Clerical Assistant Part-Time

As a Clerical Assistant, the successful candidate will be a contributing member of a highly collaborative team in our Panel Relations department. Reporting to theDirector of Program Development, the Clerical Assistant will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the panel of arbitrators and AAA staff, as well as coordinating, managing and maintaining the Association's Panel of Arbitrators and Mediators. Our comprehensive benefits program includes the following: vision, discounted pet insurance, 403(b) and Roth 403(b) retirement plans w/company match, a discounted corporate FitBit program, and generous paid time-off benefits. + Manages the update queue for panel resumes and compensation changes received through Panelist eCenter. + Updates panel records and resumes, adds/removes administrative codes, updates records with training information. + Manages Minnesota No-Fault arbitrator recertification process, including maintaining appropriate files and updating panel records and resumes. + Manages the arbitrator annual statement process, including maintaining appropriate files and updating panel records. + Assists with the processing of the annual panel fee and updating of related panel records. + Assists with all aspects of the Panel Video process including notices, as well as coordination of logistics with the panelists, videographer, and on-site personnel. Education & Experience: High School degree or G.E.D.; 3 years of relevant experience (e.g., legal or court environment) in an administrative support capacity; or an equivalent mix of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal files, business correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers, arbitrators, mediators or employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to understand and interpret statistical reports, data charts and graphs. Computer Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, creating and managing spreadsheets and database functions. Prefer experience with Visio and other system applications.
