AMDEX Corporation and its subsidiary, Avar Consulting, are seeking a Federal Account Manager to join our team. This role exists to fuel our growth engine.

The Account Manager manages client satisfaction and provides business strategy and resource management assistance for our Federal government contract portfolio. These clients include HHS (CMS, NIH, CDC), Census, Dept. of Labor, and more. The Account Manager uses his/her understanding of the current contract work, which includes Health IT, Data Science and Analytics, and PMO services, among others, to provide innovative solutions for our customers that foster business development and future growth of these contracts.

The ideal candidate will:

be able to work well with all levels of the organization,
be able to work in a matrixed environment,
understand the importance and intent of driving company growth,
track the progress of new business opportunities in a CRM system, and
communicate status (written and verbal) to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Create development plans and forecast growth projections
Provide value added solutions to Federal government accounts
Identify growth opportunities through meetings, conferences, networking, and other channels
Meet with clients and build positive relationships
Meet with colleagues on current contracts to develop growth strategies
Prepare financial projections and growth targets
Attend events such as exhibitions, industry days and conferences
Prepare presentations and participate in strategy meetings
Produce reports for management
Train business developers and program/project managers
Independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines.

Minimum Requirements:

Self-starter, with the ability to manage and report on simultaneous partner engagements
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field
Several years of experience working with an IT or professional services firm that does Federal government contracting
Good understanding of Federal government clients – how they acquire services and products, their mission (expectations) and how they intend to meet it, and how to connect with all levels of the organization.

Desired Capabilities:

A background in IT / technology project management is a plus.
Able to assist in shaping external teaming arrangements and team partner roles to include identifying, selecting, and recruiting teammates, subcontractors, and suppliers
Participate in architecting and designing solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements at an affordable price
Apply experience to establish, prepare, and win proposals, RFPs/RFQs, and other awards
Establish teaming and subcontractor relationships to advance operational and business objectives
Ability to assist in development of internal teaming and capabilities gap analysis, competitive assessments, discriminators and key win themes, price to win, and overall win strategy and value proposition
Able to shape opportunities and corporate positioning throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
