Position Overview 

The Corporate Events Planner is a full-time position that resides at the corporate office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role reports to the Owner and CEO. The Corporate Events Planner will be responsible for driving corporate event sales and execution of each event. The right individual brings a focus to client engagement, creativity, demand generation, and leadership. Also, this role will require hands-on delivery of the full event project management life cycle from conceptualization, to implementation, to post-event analysis. Responsible for all day-to-day event activities, logistics, and deliverables. Requires the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, provide acute attention to detail, and work swiftly in a fast-paced environment. As the Corporate Events Planner, you should be passionate about delivering a compelling and innovative experience for Ambrosia's clients while embodying our company values of teamwork, respect, integrity, excellence, and client focus.

Work Schedule: 9-5 PM Monday-Friday 

  • Additional hours may be required based on your client’s events schedules.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Professional with excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Sales acumen and general understanding of corporate events sales cycle

  • Excellent documentation in each software program for internal and external clients needs.

  • Abundant knowledge of event timelines pre, during, and post events.

    • Utilizing company timeline software to inform internal teams, client(s), and vendor partners 

      • Ability to hold vendors accountable for pre-event communication planning, event set-up and take down timelines. 

  • Manage multiple, complex programs successfully in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with minimal support.

  • Inform interdepartmental teams about support required for events which includes deliverables, due dates for installation, and schedules and staffing for take down. 

    • Work with the Ambrosia team and/or temporary staff to ensure installation and take down are seamlessly executed. 

  • Draft quotes for all rental requests in the CRM

    • Timely follow-up with clients for open quotes 

    • Knowledge and understanding of the cost of services and goods when quoting clients. 

    • Emphasize or recommend service features based on knowledge of customers' needs and vendor(venues) capabilities and limitations.

    • Inform customers of contracts or other information pertaining to purchased services.

  • Prepare and track budgets.

  • Consistently meets or exceeds job related goals and metrics.

  • Support marketing events to promote Ambrosia Events services and rentals

  • Ability to make decisions while working in a fast paced environment.

  • Miscellaneous duties as required.

Job Requirements 

  • A minimum of two years of event sales and execution. 

  • Proven expertise in leading complex, multi-audience events

  • Advanced computer skills

  • Experience negotiating sales contracts

  • Sales acumen for upselling services and products is preferred but not required

  • Work with minimum supervision

  • Excellent attendance

  • Reliable transportation

  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license 

  • Some college is preferred 

  • Upbeat and friendly personality

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strategic thinker and creative problem solver

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Strong budget management expertise

  • High energy, innovative, proactive, and resourceful

  • Ability to complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines
